BURNOUT, OR SOMETHING MORE

When "burnout" might be depression or anxiety

Work exhaustion lifts when the workload does. When it doesn't, depression and anxiety are the two most common diagnoses behind what gets called burnout.

At work
  • Running on autopilot for months
  • Disconnected from work you cared about
  • Irritable with people you like
After hours
  • Insomnia that outlasts the deadline
  • Numb rather than rested
  • Pulling away from people
On a week off
  • Numbness that doesn't lift on vacation
  • Motivation that doesn't come back
  • Mood no longer tracks the workload

Does my employer find out?

Your employer does not receive any information about your care, your diagnosis or your attendance without your written authorization. What you discuss with your clinician stays between you and your clinician.

Read our privacy practices
Can I keep working full-time?

Most people do. The program runs three mornings a week, 9 to 12, and you work the rest of the day and the rest of the week.

Read how people balance work and treatment
Does this affect my professional license?

Seeking mental health treatment is not, on its own, a reportable event. How it interacts with your specific board or employer policy varies, so for anything specific to your license, that is worth a direct conversation with admissions or your own counsel — we can walk through general patterns at your evaluation.

Talk to admissions
Is there an afternoon or evening option?

The program runs mornings only, 9 to 12, three days a week. If that is hard to fit around your work, admissions will talk it through with you and help you find what could work.

See the full program schedule
How long does this take?

Length is set by clinical need, not a fixed package. Your team reviews your progress with you as you go, using your weekly check-ins, and plans the step after the program together with you before you finish.

Read about program length
Can I pay privately instead of using insurance?

Yes. Some professionals prefer self-pay to keep the process off their insurance entirely. Admissions can walk through self-pay rates alongside what your plan would cover, so you can decide.

Verify your insurance
How is this different from weekly therapy?

About ten structured hours a week instead of one — group therapy three mornings a week plus an individual session, and a psychiatrist inside the same program rather than a separate monthly appointment.

Is this rehabilitation?

CMHS focuses on mental health conditions rather than addiction treatment. If substance use turns out to be the main concern, we will tell you at the evaluation and help connect you with the right level of care.

You don't have to stop working to get mental health treatment.

Two minutes to send, about a day to hear back. Confidential, and no obligation.
